Your English-speaking driver will come to collect you in the morning at your hotel in the center of Rome to get an early start on your transfer, with a tour to experience the highlights of the Amalfi Coast. You will arrive before the heat of the day at Pompeii, the archeological park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the foot of the still-active Vesuvius volcano.
The town was covered in ash and stones in 79AD, burying the whole city and leaving it virtually intact. You will meet your local English-speaking guide at the entrance for a private two-hour walking tour, providing an incredible glimpse into Roman living nearly 2000 years ago. Explore the wide streets and frescoed buildings as your guide brings Pompeii to life with stories and history. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes to navigate the uneven ancient streets.
After your visit, your driver will take you to a local trattoria or pizzeria, where you can taste different local and genuine food.
