Your private day trip in the Roman countryside begins when your chauffeur comes to pick you up from your hotel in Rome. Your driver will tell you about the area as you head just 40 minutes outside of Rome to the prestigious area called Castelli Romani, comprised of a hilly landscape dotted with charming small towns and filled with VIP country residences since Roman times.
Your first stop is one of the area’s most charming towns such as Castel Gandolfo, where Popes have their summer residence just above Lake Albano. Enjoy the beautiful views, quaint streets, and a gelato as you stroll.
Your next destination is a Frascati winery. You will be welcomed by an English-speaking winery guide and given a winery tour to learn about the wines (mostly white) produced on the property.
Your visit concludes with a light lunch with wine tasting so you can taste the wines for yourself.
Your driver will take you back to your hotel in Rome following a panoramic route and pointing out places of interest as you pass. Of course, let your driver know if you would like to stop to take some photos.
