Your driver with luxury vehicle will come to pick you up at your hotel in the center of Rome. You will start your day driving along the Appian Way, also known as the Queen of Roads, a road built in 300 BC as a strategic military road connecting Rome to the south in order to move military equipment and supplies into its vast territories.
Your driver will make some interesting stops along the road, including perhaps the Baths of Caracalla, the ancient cities second largest public thermal baths.
You will then arrive to the town of Castelgandolfo perched above Albano Lake, a beautiful lake of volcanic origins. The city is home to the Apostolic Palace, a vast historic residence that serves as the Pope’s summer residence and is now open to visitors from around the world.
Your next destination will be a lovely trattoria or restaurant, perhaps overlooking the lake, where you can enjoy a relaxing lunch of local food and wine. In the afternoon, your driver can take you to the charming village of Frascati for a stroll.
Your driver will point out a nice wine bar where you can try the local, refreshing white wine of the same name, which has been famous since Roman times. After your tour, your driver will return you safely to your hotel in the heart of Rome.
